I was asked to create some animation for a childrens TV website. The site will make use of dynamic and fluid designs.
The company is called Byte TVee and is a broadcaster of programming for children aged 6 to 12 years. The programming consists of educational shows, cartoons and entertainment programmes.
The channel is new and sees the website as a core part of its marketing strategy. The requirements were to produce the following elements:
This must be no more than 60 pixels in height and should fit in terms of width within a browser on a 640x480 pixels monitor. The animation must run on Netscape and Explorer 4.0 or higher on both Windows and Macintosh systems. The banner should be able to repeat and would be enhanced by random events.
The second component required is the design of an animated corporate logo, which will appear on the website and is aimed at children. It should be 60x60 pixels in size, use no images and must not have more than 6 colours. The client is is also interested in the interactive possibilities of the logo in order to make it fun.
Neither element should be more than 200k.
